Our Property
Deerwood Lodge is located on 16 wooded acres on the West side of Beaver Island that is surrounded by nature preserve lands and has 1000 feet of Lake Michigan beach frontage. The Lodge was originally constructed in 2002 as a well appointed Bed & Breakfast. The main levels of Deerwood boast over 8,500 square feet including 6 bedrooms with private baths, a three season room, large great room with fireplace, formal and casual dining areas, professional kitchen, and a finished basement that features The Shipwreck Bar.
This charming room on the second level and is decorated in a western theme. Look for the lamp made of barbed wire and the mirror made of boots.
This room is the premiere suite at Deerwood. It is located on the second level of the Lodge and has spectacular views of Lake Michigan. The large field stone fireplace is the central embellishment for this room. Sink into the large Mission-style chairs and snuggle by the fire. This room includes a private bath with an oversized whirlpool tub, a separate shower and double sink vanity.
This room is located on the lower level of the Lodge. It features a private porch overlooking the rolling tree covered dunes and Lake Michigan. The whirlpool tub is tucked into a nook with a bay window also overlooking the lake.
This room is located on the second level of the Lodge and features furniture and embellishments made from local birch trees. It has beautiful views of the lake and has a whirlpool tub/shower and vanity bath.
This beautiful room is located on the lower level of the Lodge. It features its own private porch overlooking Lake Michigan. The whirlpool tub is tucked into a nook with a bay window also overlooking the lake.
This room is located on the second level of the Lodge. It features its own welcoming, gas fired stove. The theme of the room is 1920’s elegant lodge with personal touches throughout. In the private bath with whirlpool tub/shower, look for tiles of the classic Field and Stream magazine covers. This room has beautiful views of the Lake overlooking a canopy of trees.
Dugg's Den is a spacious three season room located on the north end of the Lodge. There is an exterior door that leads to the side yard and can access the deck.
The Shipwreck Bar is a nautical themed bar made of reclaimed wood and is located in the lower level of the lodge.
